Time Response Analysis on Estimated Transfer Function with Time Domain Specification of the Boost DC To DC Converter

Abstract:

In this research paper, a new error minimization technique has been proposed to extract the open loop duty cycle - output voltage transfer function from the open loop input - output voltage transfer function with the reference of input-output voltage time domain specification of the boost DC to DC converter. In addition, a closed loop PID controller is designed for the extracted open loop duty cycle - output voltage transfer function to maintain constant output voltage for various perturbations in the converter. In order to reduce the effect of perturbations and to maintain constant voltage a closed loop PID controller is designed by Ziegler-Nichols technique. Moreover, the validation is performed by simulation of open loop and closed loop time response analysis.
