Modified Firefly based Inter-Cluster Secure Key Management (MF-ICSKM) in Heterogeneous WSN

Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) is one of the interesting technologies which has a small battery powered sensor nodes with restricted power resources. Still now, the security is the trouble of the WSN. The Tiny Pairing-based Cryptography (PBC) and Inter-Cluster Multiple-Key Distribution (ICMDS) methodologies are proposed in the existing system. These preceding methodologies are mainly used to secure the overall network. On the other hand, the communication overhead and optimization is another trouble of this network. To solve these troubles, the Modified Firefly based Inter-Cluster Secure Key Management (MF-ICSKM) methodology is proposed. There are four module available in this proposed system namely system model, key generation protocol, cluster formation and authentication phase. The sampling phase, key generation phase and verification phase are the key protocols in this heterogeneous WSN. After that, the cluster formation is completed by using the firefly algorithm. The Cluster Head (CH) is created by using the optimization algorithm. The security authentication process gives better security comparing with preceding methodologies. The Quality of Service (QoS) performance is considered as energy consumption, end to end delay, reliability and network duration. The higher performance is confirmed in the simulation process and the goal is reached by using new MF-ICSKM methodology in comparison with the previous methodologies.
