Integrated Secure Medical Image Transfer Framework

An emergence to provide security measures for Medical Images has increased with the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Health Organizations. The patient's data is highly confidential irrespective of its type of Data-Image, video, textual information etc., There are days where the patients have to wait for a specialist to arrive hospital for surgery and some other consultancy purposes. In modern era, the situation is drastically changed where the patients are dealt through online even if the doctor is not physically present. In such situations, the medical image transfer between the hospitals is done through E-Mails, some special software. Since the medical image consumes more memory space, it also consumes high bandwidth. There are many other limitations like the image gets distorted or some intruders do some unethical activities with those images. The objective of this thesis is to present a new integrated secure medical image communication framework that would consolidate all the possible ways of providing higher standards of security to the Medical Images efficiently without consuming time, space and bandwidth.
